Seesaw Learning Journal
I hope those of you who wanted to use Seesaw learning journal have received your child's log in details. Any parents who still want their child to use Seesaw are most welcome. Just send me an email and I will get the learning journal ready for your child - [email protected]
If you choose not to use Seesaw you can still email me updates/photos/videos of your child's work to [email protected].
This week we are just going to get familiar with Seesaw and how we can use it.
Ideas of what you can add to your learing journal
Have a look at this video on Seesaw if you are stuck - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr1jaViJwrfjChsXL8DXMhA/videos
Next week I will give your child access to Google Apps in Culleens NS where they could create online material such as Slides, Docs or even a website to share with the class.

This week we are just going to get familiar with Seesaw and how we can use it.
Ideas of what you can add to your learing journal
- Take a photo of something you made e.g. the 3D shapes from last month; 3D shapes you found around the home. Use arrows and words to show the names of the shapes.
- Perhaps record yourself playing your favourite tune from your tin whistle
- Record yourself reading a page of your reading - take a photo of the page of the book and us the microphones to record.
- Share a video of you showing how to make a cake following a procedure/recipe.
- Try writing on journal entry through Seesaw (see activities from Miss Hallinan for the template/page)
- Maybe you looked at the School Hub on RTE during the week and made or did something after watching the lessons on TV. 2nd class would love to know.
- Take a photo of your best handwriting page and share on your learning journal. Record your voice saying why you are proud of that page.
- Complete one of Miss Hallinan's activities which I have set for you.
