Last week in our poetry we read the poem "A Closet Full of Shoes" written by the poet Shel Silverstein. Who would believe there are so many different shoe types? 2nd Class worked on a collaborative Google Slide and sourced some images to describe each shoe mentioned in the poem. Download "A Closet Full of Shoes" below.
The long-awaited autumn presentation is now live! We hope you enjoy and learn lots about Belleek Woods, trees and autumn.
Autumn in 2nd Class 2022 from Culleens NS on Vimeo. Cut or rip stalks of celery and place them in the jars of colored water. Let the celery sit. Check every few hours/days to see colours change! This experiment shows how plants absorb water. After a few days the stalks were trimmed to see where the water was being drawn up into the stem and right up to the leaves. |
