Today we sang our hearts out to this K is for kindness song!
It is a sing along with Tori Kelly and the rest of the Sesame Street gang.
We love it and felt so good after we sang it. Teacher thought we could be on the X Factor!

Thank you to Garda Kelly for delivering the Garda Schools Programme for Internet Safety to 2nd, 3rd and 4th class.
The Be Kind Online, developed in partnership with Webwise is designed to enable pupils to understand what cyberbullying is, how it can hurt someone and how it can be prevented. The lessons in this pack promote respectful communication online and aim to foster a sense of care and respect for others online. The programme will equip children with the skills to deal effectively with cyberbullying.

Today we were learning about the importance of wearing hi-vis clothes when out playing, walking or cycling. We all took the Hi-Glo Silver pledge today.
When I walk or cycle, night or day, after school or when I go to play, I promise to make sure that I am seen, In reflective clothing that is bright orange, yellow or green. "Be Safe, Be Seen" We are going to take part in the Hi-Glo Silver Competition. We are going to design a poster - the one which will be best seen in the dark will win. We will hold a class competition first and then pick one winner to represent 2nd Class in Culleens. Get designing. You can play a game from the RSA called Snake and Hazards Game here. Remember: Wear bright, high-visibility clothing - both day and night. Here we are wearing our wristbands. In SPHE we are currently working on antibullying. Today we watched a video on cyberbullying. We pasued the video in various areas and saw how the thoughts and feelings of the girl were being affected from the cyberbullying. We also complted a worksheet. This is the video we watched. We also watched the video on "The Meanest Girl in 2nd Grade" and "Sesame Street - Good Birds Club". Have a look again. |
